Job summary

StarTech Networks Inc. is seeking a Telecom Permit Manager to lead the end-to-end permitting for telecom and fiber projects. You will secure approvals, navigate jurisdictional requirements, and keep schedules on track.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Construction, OSP, clients, and internal teams, tracking permits, costs, and risks while ensuring compliance with zoning, environmental, and telecom standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating permits across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Familiarity with GIS/AutoCAD tools for site planning.

Job description

Overview:

A Telecom Permit Manager manages the end-to-end permitting process for telecommunications and fiber optic infrastructure projects. The role helps ensure permits are secured efficiently, requirements are met across jurisdictions, and project schedules remain on track.

Permit Management

Prepare, submit, and track permit applications, including right of way approvals, construction permits, pole attachment agreements, and environmental clearances.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure project plans and field activities comply with applicable codes, ordinances, permit conditions, environmental requirements, and telecommunications standards.

Agency and Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinate with municipal authorities, state agencies, utility providers, and other jurisdictional bodies to secure approvals and resolve questions.

Documentation and Record Keeping

Maintain accurate permit records, approvals, site plans, correspondence, status updates, and related project documentation.

Schedule and Budget Management

Monitor permit timelines, identify delays or risks, support escalation planning, and manage permit-related costs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Engineering, Construction, OSP, client, and internal project teams to align permit activities with project milestones.

Reporting and Communication

Provide regular status updates, progress reports, risk alerts, and permitting impacts to internal and external stakeholders.

Process Improvement

Identify workflow bottlenecks, recommend efficiencies, and support best practices that reduce permit cycle times.
