Role Description The Permit and Inspection Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Miami, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role manages permitting and inspection workflows for luxury outdoor living projects, including preparing and submitting permit applications, tracking approvals, and maintaining accurate records. The coordinator liaises with municipal agencies, inspectors, and internal project teams to schedule inspections, resolve permit-related issues, and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations. Daily responsibilities include organizing documentation, updating project timelines, communicating status to stakeholders, and supporting the project managers with regulatory requirements. The role requires proactive coordination, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through to keep projects moving smoothly from design to completion.

Qualifications

  • Experience with permitting and inspections for construction, landscape, or design-build projects, including understanding of local codes, regulations, and approval processes.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage documentation, track multiple deadlines, and maintain accurate records across several projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with city and county officials, inspectors, internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with office and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project tracking tools) and comfort learning new systems.
  • Detail-oriented approach and problem-solving skills to identify permit issues, suggest solutions, and support timely resolution.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Miami, FL, managing both onsite responsibilities and remote tasks independently.
