Utility Lines Construction Services in Lexington, SC, is seeking a Permission Planner to determine supply needs based on estimates and project schedules. This role coordinates material orders and delivery to support electrical utility projects.

You will work closely with the estimating team, review bid documents, contact vendors, and maintain records. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand technical specifications of material and equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with field, vendors, and outside customers.
  • Able to pay close attention to details and identify/correct mistakes.
  • Manages time effectively, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have prior experience in the electrical power line construction industry.
  • Be able to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manages the orders and delivery of materials to meet project requirements.
  • Familiar with construction supplies and various types of equipment needed to support the Electrical Utility Industry
  • Communicates and maintains accurate records regarding all aspects of position.

Minimum Qualification:

Education and Experience:
  • Must have prior experience in the electrical power line construction industry.
  • Be able to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications that you have obtained during your career.
Traveling Requirements:
  • Must be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.
Driver License:
  • Valid Driver’s license is preferred or willingness to obtain valid CDL within 90 days of employment. If unable to obtain, please discuss this during the interview process.
Safety:
  • Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8 or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
Pre-Screen:
  • Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
Physical requirements:
  • Rarely (less than 10%): Stooping, Kneeling, Squatting, Body Twisting, Crawling, Sense of Touch, Reaching, Range of Motion, Pushing, Seeing Distant, Climbing On/Off Truck, Climbing Poles, Gripping, Lifting Over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., Pulling, Climbing Ladders, Balancing, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally (up to 33%): Standing, Walking, Manual Dexterity, Depth Perception, Lifting, Carrying, Lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequently (up to 66 %): Color Vision and Climbing Stairs
  • Continuously (up to 100%): Sitting, Seeing, Reading, Hearing – Speech Range, and Speaking Clearly
