Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a permanent night shift in Irving, TX. You will provide high-quality care to mothers and infants through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum stages.

The role requires ADN/BSN, active RN license in Texas or a compact state, and 1.5+ years in L&D. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required, with additional AWHONN fetal monitoring training due within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or Compact State).
• Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of L&D or Antepartum RN experience (Level II or higher facility experience preferred).
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Specialized Training: AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (required within 30 days of hire/transfer).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Monitor, interpret, and document fetal heart patterns and maternal vital signs, initiating appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and teams to ensure optimal maternal-fetal outcomes.
• Educate patients and family on labor, delivery options, and postpartum/newborn care.
• Maintain meticulous, compliant EHR documentation and promote a culture of safety.

Pay Rate: $32.00 – $53.00 per hour (based on experience) + Shift Differential

Bonus Potential: Up to $7,500 Sign-On Bonus for eligible external candidates (2+ years RN experience) | Relocation assistance available (50+ miles)

Schedule: Permanent Full-Time | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
• Monitor, interpret, and document fetal heart patterns and maternal vital signs, initiating appropriate interventions immediately as needed
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal maternal-fetal outcomes
• Educate patients and family members on the labor process, delivery options, and early postnatal/newborn care
• Support and advocate for a unit-wide culture of safety, maintaining meticulous and compliant EHR documentation
