Job summary

SupportWorks Housing in Richmond, VA, seeks a Housing Specialist, HomeLink to help participants obtain and sustain safe, affordable housing. You will coordinate housing navigation, landlord engagement, placements, inspections, and rent calculations with participants, case managers, and partners.

Required: bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year working with low-income or homeless adults; HQS training within 3 months; strong communication and computer skills; valid driver’s license and ability to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and experience in housing counseling or related field.
At least 1 year working with low-income or homeless adults.
Knowledge of Fair Housing and Tenant-Landlord laws preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

Support participants in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing.
Coordinate housing navigation, landlord engagement, placement, inspections, and recertifications.
Complete rent calculations and maintain eligibility documentation.
Develop relationships with landlords and community partners to expand housing opportunities.
Conduct intake and eligibility reviews in accordance with program requirements.
Document housing inspections and entries in HMIS and HUD-related systems.
