Job summary

Clarkston Community Schools in the Detroit area seeks a Permanent Building Substitute with Behavioral Responsibilities for North Sashabaw Elementary. This role reports to the assigned building and steps in for teachers daily when students are present.

The substitute will fill vacancies and deliver building-wide behavioral support, contributing to a safe, positive learning environment. Must be an approved Clarkston substitute and Edustaff employee.

Qualifications

• Must be an approved substitute teacher for Clarkston schools.
• Preferred Michigan teaching certificate or sub permit with 60 college credits.
• Experience as a district substitute is a plus.
• Ability to form positive relationships with students and families.
• Reliable attendance and professional conduct are essential.

Responsibilities

• Fill teacher vacancies and absences as assigned.
• Provide building-wide behavioral support as needed.
• Work directly with the assigned building staff and students.
• Report to Edustaff and Clarkston schools as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and parents.

PERMANENT BUILDING SUBSTITUTE with Behavioral Responsibilities - North Sashabaw Elementary

$175.00 per day!

Description

The Permanent Building/Behavioral Support Substitute will report for work each directly to the building assigned. This position reports every day that students report.

Primary responsibilities of the Permanent Building Substitute will be to fill teacher vacancies and absences as well as provide building wide behavioral support.

Candidate must be an approved substitute teacher for Clarkston schools and approved/employed through Edustaff.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Michigan teacher's certificate (preferred), OR a minimum of 60 college credits required with a sub permit
• Previous experience preferred working in a district as a regular sub
• Ability to develop genuine and positive relationships with students
• Ability to facilitate student learning, growth and achievement
• Ability to build professional and collegial relations with staff and parents
• Ability and desire to adapt, learn and grow as an educator
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function

Rate of Pay: $175.00 per day
