Naperville Community Unit School District 203 is seeking a Permanent Building Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Naperville Central High School. This role is a substitute position with a daily rate and is not benefits eligible.

The candidate must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and be willing to work five days per week at the assigned school. The position focuses on delivering lesson plans, maintaining student safety, and supporting a positive learning

Permanent Building Substitute Teacher:

Naperville CUSD203 is a large, suburban school district with 22 schools and many opportunities to substitute each day. We have high expectations for students and for staff, including our substitute teachers. If you would like to be part of our exciting team, please review the following job description. This position is only available for the 2026-2027 school year, and cannot be renewed.

Daily Rate= $180

Not a benefits eligible position

Essential Functions:

• Deliverlesson plans as instructed by the regular classroom teacher and/or school administrators.

Other Functions:

• May be required to participate in building events such as fire drills, evacuations, assemblies, etc.
• May need to direct activities of a classroom assistant(s)

• May need to sit on the floor for assignments in the Early Childhood and K-2 setting.
• May need to navigate uneven surfaces for some assignments.
