Job summary

Naperville CUSD203 is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional at Maplebrook Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports teachers by delivering planned lessons and maintaining a safe, orderly classroom environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring student wellbeing, protecting school property, communicating positively with students and staff, and assisting in behavior management to foster a constructive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work five days per week at Maplebrook Elementary.

Naperville CUSD203 is a large, suburban school district with 22 schools and many opportunities to substitute each day. We have high expectations for students and for staff, including our substitute teachers. This position is only available for the 2026-2027 school year, and cannot be renewed.

Daily Rate= $19.91/hour

Not a benefits-eligible position

Location = Maplebrook Elementary School

Essential Functions:

• Deliverlesson plans as instructed by the regular classroom teacher and/or school administrators.

Other Functions:

• May be required to participate in building events such as fire drills, evacuations, assemblies, etc.
• May need to direct activities of a classroom assistant(s)
