Job summary

Texans Together seeks a Sr. Manager, Permanency to provide strategic leadership for permanency, conservatorship, reunification, kinship, foster care, and related child welfare services across Regions 6a and 6b.

You will collaborate with DFPS, courts, providers, caregivers, and community partners to strengthen services and outcomes for children and families. The role requires directing supervisors and teams, ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations, and advancing quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, required.
• Minimum three years supervisory/management experience in child welfare or related services.
• Seven+ years of progressively responsible child welfare experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and overseeing complex child welfare programs or operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for permanency and child welfare programs across service region.
• Develop, implement and evaluate program strategies to improve safety, stability and permanency outcomes.
• Ensure operations comply with contractual, licensing, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Monitor performance, caseloads, workforce utilization, and service quality to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies.
• Participate in budgeting, resource allocation, and strategies for growth and sustainability.
• Direct, supervise, coach, and evaluate supervisory staff and program teams.
• Establish performance expectations and foster a culture of servant leadership and collaboration.
• Support recruitment, retention and workforce development to maintain a qualified workforce.
• Ensure effective case practice and timely permanency planning including reunification, kinship, adoption.
