Job summary

Our Community Our Kids in Texas seeks a Permanency Specialist responsible for permanent planning and placement for abused and neglected children. You will work with parents, kin, and legal parties to secure safe, permanent homes, while supporting families through separation and attachment issues.

You will recruit and train foster and adoptive homes, participate in investigations as needed, and attend court hearings to document progress and advocate for the child’s best permanency outcome within

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in human services; case management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child welfare practices and permanency placement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain case records with forms, narratives, and written reports.
• Attend court hearings and prepare court reports.
• Collaborate with kinship, foster parents, and legal teams.
• Visit children monthly to assess safety and progress.
• Transition children home during reunification and support families.
