Job summary

Baton Rouge Community College seeks an Assistant Perkins Grant Coordinator to ensure Perkins V program activities comply with regulations and to lead work-based learning and employer engagement efforts. You will support the Perkins Grant Coordinator and leadership in grant administration, data management, and budget oversight.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and several years in education, grant administration, or program coordination, with preferred knowledge of Perkins V and related

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal Grant Compliance and Perkins V requirements.
• Experience with program development and coordination.
• Ability to engage employers and build partnerships.
• Understanding of career and technical education programs.
• Data collection, tracking and performance reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a structured Work-Based Learning program including internships and employer-sponsored projects.
• Identify and recruit regional employers across BRCC's CTE clusters.
• Assist with program coordination, budget review, data management, and inventory tasks.
• Collaborate with coordinators and faculty to connect high school students with opportunities.
• Support career exploration activities and logistics for BRCC and partner schools.
• Other duties as assigned.
