Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Learn and operate cash register functions to generate reports.
• Review statements to identify trends in sales, profitability and turn.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposit control and cashier accountability.
• Know how to follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidelines.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring financial integrity through cash accountability and security practices.
• Follow SOPs, employee handbook and company communications.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels and manage inventories using relevant guides.
• Train associates in presentation, freshness and pricing of perishable items.
• Train staff in safe handling and compliance with applicable rules.
• Record inventory levels and assist in addressing customer needs promptly.
