Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department team member to provide friendly, accurate service and maintain department standards. You will help with stocking, rotations, and order accuracy to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, maintaining product levels, and upholding food safety guidelines while supporting store associates and customers alike.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain standards per the standard practice manual.
• Maximize sales through friendly service and minimize shrink.
• Receive deliveries, rotate and store merchandise appropriately.
• Maintain product levels in Meat, Lunch meat, Dairy, Ice Cream, and other perishables.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines at all times.
