Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department Associate to provide high-quality customer service while maintaining standards and maximizing sales. You will handle meat, dairy, and other perishable items, ensuring proper stocking, rotation, and presentation.

Responsibilities include receiving and coding deliveries, applying safety guidelines, and maintaining department cleanliness. Applicants should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and comply with all company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates
• Understand and use tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering
• Receive deliveries, code, rotate and store merchandise appropriately
• Maintain proper product levels in perishable areas including meat, lunchmeat, dairy, and frozen items
• Process meat products as directed and stock accordingly
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases as needed
• Clean and sanitize the department and maintain layout standards
• Comply with company policies, safety guidelines and advertising materials
• Observe and report accidents and unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
