Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year of retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior lead or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring employee compliance.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels based on store volume.
• Follow SOPs, policies, and procedures as outlined in manuals.
• Train associates in stocking, presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Train associates in safe handling of food per regulations.
• Record PerishableMarkdowns and analyze causes with action to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure proper grading and re-packaging in produce to minimize markdowns.
• Accurately record inventory levels as requested by the Store Support Center.
• Address customer needs and requests promptly and courteously.
• Maintain daily customer contact to understand merchandise expectations.
• Ensure sanitation standards and supervise Cleaning Schedule.
• Assist with other operational areas as directed by the Store Manager.
