Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or strongly preferred.
• 1 year of retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience is preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability, key control, and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels using planned inventories and order guides.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness, and pricing standards for perishables.
• Record Perishable Markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customer needs and requests are addressed efficiently and promptly.
• Assist with sanitation standards and staff training in the Perishable departments.
