Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a dedicated team member for the Perishable Department. You will provide quality customer service, maintain department standards, maximize sales, and minimize shrink through proper use of procedures and tools.

You will work to keep meat, dairy, lunchmeat, and other perishables well stocked, correctly labeled, and displayed while following safety guidelines and company policies. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Receive deliveries, rotate and stock items in the appropriate area.
• Maintain proper product levels in meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream and other perishables.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department and follow safety guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain department standards.
