Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a team member for the Perishable Department to deliver fast, friendly, accurate customer service and to maximize sales while minimizing shrink. You will manage stocking, receiving, rotation and display of meat, dairy and other perishables, following all safety procedures.

The role emphasizes the ability to learn department tools, work with associates, and maintain a neat, compliant department in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of department policies and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to learn and use company tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and fast, friendly service.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking perishable items.
• Ensure meat, dairy, frozen and other perishables are properly stored and displayed.
• Follow food safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions.
• Complete required CBT and training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
