Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of retail clerk experience.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Train assigned associates in proper stocking, freshness, and pricing standards for perishable areas.
• Assist in training on proper handling of food in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Assist in training on hourly recovery standards to model store standards.
• Assist in scheduling coverage to ensure adequate staffing.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels based on store volume using relevant guides.
• Record Perishable Markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Accurately record inventory levels as requested by the Store Support Center.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and train associates in Perishable departments.
