Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a perishable departments supervisor to oversee produce, meat, dairy, frozen foods, bakery, and related areas in a Bishopville, SC store. You will support the Store Manager with inventory, merchandising, and customer service to ensure profitable, well-presented departments.

The role requires leadership, knowledge of plan-o-gram guidelines, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage Perishable Departments including produce, fresh meat, dairy, frozen foods, and bakery to ensure quality, freshness and proper rotation.
• Assist Store Manager with inventory management, merchandising presentation and customer service to maximize store profitability.
• Train associates in perishable presentation, freshness and pricing standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
