Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Lead for the Perishable Departments in Enfield, NC to manage produce, fresh meat, dairy, bakery and related perishables, ensuring quality customer service and attractive, profitable displays.

Under the Store Manager's supervision, you will support inventory control, cash accountability, staff training, sanitation and safety compliance, and ensure stock levels and pricing meet company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and plan-o-gram.
• Strong cash handling and accountability skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Perishable departments including Produce, Meat, Dairy and Bakery.
• Assist Store Manager with inventory management and merchandising.
• Ensure safety and sanitation compliance across perishable areas.
• Train associates on freshness, presentation and pricing standards.
• Maintain correct stock levels and perform inventory markdowns when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly.
