Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Ability to learn and perform cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposit control.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability and security practices.
• Follow SOPs and communications as outlined in manuals.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels using available guides and tools.
• Train associates in presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Train associates in proper and safe handling of food.
• Record perishables inventory and markdowns; analyze causes.
• Ensure customer needs and requests are addressed promptly.
• Maintain daily contact with customers to understand expectations.
