Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred
• Previous lead experience and grocery store experience preferred
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager, as directed, in ensuring the financial integrity of the store through strict cash accountability, key control, and adherence to company security practices and cash control procedures.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels based on store volume using perishable inventory tools and order guides
• Train assigned associates in proper stocking, freshness, and pricing standards for all perishable areas and in safe handling of food
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences
• Ensure customers' needs and requests are addressed promptly and provide quality customer service
• Assist with sanitation and adherence to food handling rules and regulations
