Job summary

Food Lion in Roanoke, VA seeks a Perishable Department associate to provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service while maintaining quality controls and product displays. You will use ACIS/CAO tools, handle deliveries, rotate stock, and ensure meats, dairy and other perishables meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store appropriately.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream).
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report all accidents per Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
