Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is hiring a Perioperative OR Coordinator I who will support day-to-day operations in the OR for assigned service lines. This role includes managing operational efficiencies, staffing solutions, and employee engagement while ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.

Applicants must be enrolled in a BSN program and have prior scrub and circulating experience. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for external candidates committed for 2 years.

Qualifications

• Must have scrub and circulating experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the unit's patient population.
• State licensure and/or professional certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support service line team to achieve organizational goals.
• Ensure staffing and staff competency specific to service line.
• Collaborate with leadership on standardizing operations.

Skills

Nursing experience in peri-operative settings

Scrub and circulating experience

Knowledge of healthcare trends

Ability to work collaboratively

Education

Currently enrolled in BSN program

Certified Scrub Tech III/LPN or ADN RN

Tools

Basic Life Support (BLS)
