The position requires a technical school or related nursing program, plus an associate degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences and 0–2 years of OR experience.

Qualifications

Technical School or Practical Nursing program required.
Associate degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences required.
0–2 years OR surgical technician experience required.

Responsibilities

Prepares and maintains the operating room for surgical cases with sterile technique.
Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments accurately and efficiently.
Handles instruments and ensures proper sterilization and counts with the circulating nurse.
Restocks supplies and ensures rooms are ready for subsequent cases.
Maintains attendance and complies with policies.
