Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Illinois seeks an experienced Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services to oversee standards of care in the operating room. You will lead and mentor the OR team, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with surgeons to deliver safe, efficient, cost-effective patient care.

The role requires a registered nurse with a IL license, CNOR within 6 months, CPR certification, and at least three years of OR nursing experience.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Three years nursing experience in operating rooms or relevant work experience.
Current licensure in the State of Illinois as Registered Nurse.
CPR Certification.
CNOR within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Manages, develops, implements and evaluates the standards of care in a specialty area to facilitate quality patient care, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Leads OR Turnover Times and partners with the Scheduler Coordinator/OR Manager/Director to meet designated turnover time targets for specific cases.
Collaborates with the Surgery Leadership Team to resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.
Mentors team members and fosters staff development.
Reviews cases to ensure proper PPT codes and availability of trays, equipment, and supplies.
Promotes an environment conducive to staff growth and autonomy.
