Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years’ work experience required.
• Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and coordinate work in a high stress environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the peri-operative team to ensure efficient and safe workflows within the perioperative space adhering to current hospital and regulatory standards.
• Performs environmental cleaning processes for all Perioperative areas following regulatory standards including AORN.
• Removes and cleans unneeded equipment from PACU/OR/CSR and ensures proper handling of trash and contaminated linens/instruments.
• Handles blood, tissue, bodily fluids, recyclables and other materials safely and performs routine cleaning to keep spaces infection-free.
• Reports all faulty equipment to supervisor and maintains supply inventories for upcoming patients.
