Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Perioperative Support Tech to perform self-directed tasks ensuring an efficient, safe operating room environment. You will inventory, disassemble, clean, and reassemble OR equipment, transport patients, and help maintain sterile standards.

Successful candidates will have attention to detail, a proactive approach to perioperative safety, and knowledge of safety protocols. Requires High School diploma or GED and CPR/BLS at hire.

Qualifications

• In-depth perioperative/operating room knowledge or experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at hire (AHA).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble and maintain OR equipment.
• Transport patients and assist in maintaining a clean, sterile OR environment.
• Assist in case preparation and distribution of supplies and positioning equipment.
• Set up orthopedic fracture tables and positioning devices.
• Stock and maintain OR rooms and Sterile processing areas.
