Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Perioperative Support Tech to help run the perioperative area with a focus on safety, sterility, and efficiency.

You will inventory, clean, disassemble and reassemble OR equipment, assist in maintaining a clean OR, transport patients, and follow Standard Precautions.

Formación

• High School Graduate or equivalent level of work experience in perioperative settings.
• GED upon hire when applicable.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble and maintain OR equipment.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized perioperative environment.
• Transport patients and support case preparation and distribution of supplies.
• Set up orthopedic tables and positioning devices and stock OR rooms.
• Clean steam and Steris sterilizers and process stat instruments as needed.
• Follow Standard Precautions and safety standards at all times.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Perioperative Support Tech, you will perform self-directed activities crucial for the efficiency and smooth operation of the perioperative area(s), contributing to a safe, sterile, and organized surgical environment.

Every day you will inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain OR equipment, while assisting in maintaining a clean OR environment and transporting patients. All tasks will strictly adhere to Standard Precaution guidelines and safety standards.

To be successful, you need exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach to maintaining the perioperative environment, and a thorough understanding of safety protocols.

• Cleans areas according to environmental standards and department regulations
• Cleans and maintains steam and Steris sterilizers per protocol
• Processes stat instruments according to department standards
• Independently functions in case preparation and distribution of supplies, including gathering positioning equipment and case care, and returning equipment after use
• Sets up the orthopedic fracture tables and positioning devices
• Maintains, initiates and stocks OR rooms

Job Requirements Required

• High School Graduate Or equivalent level of work experience One year prior Perioperative Technician experience in an acute care operating room, upon hire or
• High School GED, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire (Must be through the American Heart Association)

Preferred

• Completion of central sterile/intrumentprocessing course

Pay Range

$32.53 - $36.85 /hour
