Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is seeking an Operating Room Tech to assist with sterile preparation and instrument handling for surgical procedures. You will help maintain a sterile field and supply the surgeon with necessary instruments throughout cases.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, ORT training (or equivalent), and at least 3 years of surgical experience with current BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
