Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking a Perioperative Support Assistant to assist with patient care and transport patients through the surgical process. You will help with discharge, support providers and clinical staff, and maintain a clean, stocked work area to enable smooth operations across the OR.

The role requires a high school diploma and BLS certification; you will participate in quality and safety initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent patient care.

  • BLS Certification required.

  • Assist with patient care and transport during the surgical process and daily operations.
  • Assist with discharge of patients and support providers and clinical personnel as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked work area and assist with OR turnover and supply restocking.

Job description

The Perioperative Support Assistant will assist with patient care and Help transport patients. You will assist with transport/assist in discharging patients. Also assist providers and other personnel as needed.

Schedule

32 hours/week across 4 days (Monday–Friday). Specific working days vary weekly.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
  • Clinical Support: Support providers and other clinical personnel during the transition of patients during the surgical process and dally operations.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a clean, tidy, and properly stocked work area, including assisting with operating room (OR) turnover and cleaning/restocking supplies.
  • Quality & Safety: Participate in quality assessment and performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care and safety
