Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse Manager to lead the perioperative nursing practice across Pre-op, OR, PACU and GI/endoscopy. You will drive staffing, education, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

The role requires a BSN with strong perioperative leadership experience; CNOR is preferred. You will collaborate with physicians, the House Supervisor, and other teams to optimize patient flow

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum five years of clinical perioperative nursing experience and two years of leadership.
• CNOR certification preferred; bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee perioperative nursing practice across pre-op, OR, PACU and GI/endoscopy.
• Lead staffing, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance in unit operations.
• Collaborate with physicians, house supervisor, and ancillary teams for patient flow.
• Develop staff competency through education and targeted performance reviews.
• Monitor quality metrics, safety, and patient satisfaction outcomes.
• Participate in hiring, orientation, and disciplinary processes as needed.
