Job summary

Mmhealth is seeking a Nursing Leader to direct perioperative services, including the OR, Same Day Surgery, PACU, and Central Sterile, ensuring patient safety and optimal experience. The role emphasizes staff development, scheduling, and adherence to hospital policies in a dynamic surgical environment.

The position requires a nursing degree, Indiana RN licensure, and prior clinical leadership in perioperative settings. Master’s degree and sterile processing certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Indiana.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical leadership experience in perioperative services.
• Master’s degree in nursing, health administration or related field preferred.
• Certification in sterile processing leadership or management preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees operation of perioperative services within the hospital.
• Oversees OR and SDS staff and daily assignments.
• Ensure staffing and scheduling align with case load and acuity.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for emergencies.
• Promote safety, quality, and cost containment throughout the unit.
• Facilitate staff orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
• Lead budget development and monitor departmental budgets.
