Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, OR is seeking a Supervisor in Surgical Services to provide front-line clinical leadership for the operating room.

You will report to the Nurse Manager and oversee resource utilization, scheduling, and compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS. You will foster a collaborative, high-performance environment, manage daily perioperative room assignments, and lead teams through performance reviews and staff development, while ensuring cost-efficient

Qualifications

• Three (3) years clinical nursing experience in an Operating Room as an OR nurse with at least 2 years in the clinical OR service.
• Experience with performance management.
• Experience assisting with orientation of staff.
• Oregon RN License and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily staff and room assignments to ensure optimal workflow and adherence to productivity and quality metrics.
• Direct human resources functions, including team orientation, performance feedback, continuing education, and corrective action.
• Monitor staffing skill mixes and manage departmental supplies and capital needs to ensure cost-efficient operations.
• Maintain rigorous standards of care consistent with TJC, CMS, and hospital policies to ensure patient safety and organizational compliance.
• Lead and participate in departmental work teams to analyze outcomes, improve efficiencies, and drive evidence-based practice changes.
• Assist in the development of the surgical schedule and manage payroll activities to maintain precise unit operations.
