Responsibilities include rounds, OR scheduling, vendor coordination, inventory management, staff education, and performance evaluations to ensure service excellence and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BSN with 2 years in area of practice or ASN with 4 years in area of practice.
• Current Registered Nurse license in state of service or multi-state license via eNLC.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing rounds coordinating with charge RNs, OR control desk, staff, and surgeons to ensure cases proceed as planned.
• Reviews OR schedule at least one week in advance for case needs, including staff training and equipment.
• Expedites first case on-time starts and room turnover to meet efficiency and quality benchmarks.
• Updates surgeon preference cards and supports capital equipment planning and quotes.
• Partners with SPD, Supply Chain, nursing, and physicians to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Monitors vendors and coordinates with Allied for patient care areas.
• Manages inventory by adjusting PAR levels, addressing expired products, and revising packs for cost containment.
• Leads nursing unit education plans for orientation, staff development, and competency validation.
• Defines/coordinates orientation and staff development, evaluates progress, and monitors performance.
