Job summary

WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV seeks an experienced RN to coordinate clinical education and professional development ensuring consistent patient care standards. The role supports unit leadership with effective communication and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities include rounds, OR scheduling review, on-time starts, surgeon card updates, and collaboration with SPD and vendors. Requires active WV RN license and BLS within 30 days; BSN or ADN with relevant experience

Qualifications

• RN license must be active in WV or multi-state via eNLC.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• BSN or ADN with required years of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds and communicate with RNs, OR control desk, staff, and surgeons to ensure cases proceed as planned.
• Review OR schedule at least one week in advance for case needs and staff training.
• Expedite first case starts and improve room turnover to meet OR efficiency/quality benchmarks.
• Update surgeon preference cards and instrument trays; participate in equipment planning and quotes.
• Collaborate with SPD, Supply Chain, nursing, and physicians to meet patient care needs; monitor vendors per policy.
