Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks a Manager, Clinical Services Periop to lead a multidisciplinary team of perioperative nurses and technicians, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

You will supervise staff, develop policies, analyze KPIs, and drive improvements to patient safety and workflow efficiency, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists and operating room colleagues. This role emphasizes strong clinical expertise, leadership, and communication.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with 4 years of related work and 2 years in leadership.
  • Knowledge of perioperative nursing principles, standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with FHS policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of healthcare delivery systems and care standards.
  • Clinical competencies and health information management basics.
  • Ability to supervise, develop staff and manage performance.
  • Knowledge of EMR usage and daily operational management.
  • Ability to analyze financial/operational data and drive improvements.
  • Current RN licensure in Washington and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team of perioperative nurses and technicians.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate clinical policies to optimize outcomes and workflows.
  • Oversee staff scheduling, performance evaluations and professional development.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze clinical data and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and other departments to coordinate care.
