Job summary

The CORE Institute seeks a strong, results‑driven perioperative leader to oversee non-clinical operations and drive performance in a high‑volume environment. You will guide team development, ensure compliance, and balance priorities while maintaining a focus on patient experience.

Ideal candidate brings extensive nursing leadership, OR management experience, and a data‑driven approach to improve operational efficiency and staff engagement in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required, or an Associate Degree in Nursing with equivalent experience; Master’s preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred or the knowledge to obtain it.
• Minimum of five years nursing experience; five to seven years preferred.
• Five–ten years OR management experience required; leadership of leaders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishs and maintains effective communication with other hospital departments.
• Reviews short- and long-term plans, strategies, and systems to efficiently manage daily operations.
• Oversees management of department operations and fiscal planning.
• Coordinates OR scheduling, staffing, and inventory to ensure smooth operations.
• Serves as liaison with physicians and vendors to identify needs for procedures and equipment.
• Promotes growth through precepting, mentoring, and education programs for staff.
• Maintains supply inventory and procurement; alerts administration of needs.
• Monitors quality and performance metrics to drive improvement projects.
• Ensures safe patient care and adherence to patient identification and time-out procedures.
• Leads multidisciplinary teams and participates in professional organizations.

BSN required

ADN with equivalent experience accepted

CNOR certification preferred
