Job summary

The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital is seeking a strong, results‑driven Perioperative Services Director to lead OR operations in a fast-paced setting in Phoenix. You will drive patient experience, resource optimization, and team development while balancing multiple priorities.

You will use metrics to improve quality, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across departments. This role requires a seasoned nurse leader with extensive OR management experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Arizona is required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Five years of nursing experience required; five to seven years preferred.
• Experience in orthopedics and/or spine preferred.
• Five–ten years OR management experience required; leadership of leaders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains effective communication with other hospital departments.
• Implements policies and procedures; ensures accreditation and regulatory compliance.
• Investigates incidents to ensure safety of patients, physicians, and employees.
• Oversees perioperative services planning, staffing, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Coordinates OR scheduling, equipment, and supply readiness; resolves conflicts.
• Mentors staff, provides education, and supports professional development.

Education

BSN/ADN required

Master's preferred

CNOR certification preferred
