Job summary

University of Southern California (USC) Perioperative Support Services Technician coordinates daily OR scheduling and EMR scheduling activities with physicians, offices, and hospital staff to ensure timely case execution. You will perform data entry for post-op information and support billing duties as needed, while maintaining data integrity in implant logs and interdepartmental systems.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-year Operating Room scheduling experience or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule cases and gather necessary information with time allocation.
• Assist with Billing duties as relief when needed.
• Compute and record Operating Room charges for each patient.
• Maintain Implant log and ensure data integrity.
• Monitor charging accuracy for specialty surgeries and coordinate with Finance/Purchasing.
• Work with Nurse leadership to support staffing and daily operations.
• Serve as unit receptionist and handle routine clerical and scheduling tasks.
• Promote teamwork and positive relationships within the unit.
