The Perioperative Support Services Technician at University of Southern California assists in coordinating daily operations between physicians, offices, and hospital staff. Schedules cases with appropriate time allocation and maintains post-op data entry to support accurate patient billing.

He/she serves as a unit receptionist, performs routine clerical duties, and collaborates with the Lead nurse, Nurse Navigator, and Director to ensure staffing and compliance with policies.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Typing skills with strong knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Schedules cases with necessary information and allocates time.
• Acts as receptionist for the unit and handles routine clerical, scheduling, and desk activities.
• Performs post-op data entry and records operating room charges for each patient.
• Supports the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through training and quality control activities.
• Coordinates with Finance, Purchasing, Inventory Clerk, and leadership to ensure accurate charging and stock management.
