Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 1-year Operating Room scheduling experience or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years clerical experience.
• Typing skills with strong knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Director of Surgical Services.
• Conducts department training for the Electronic Medical Record Scheduling System and troubleshoots problems with this system.
• Promotes teamwork and positive working relationships.
• Performs post-op data entry.
• Schedules cases and ensures necessary information.
• Acts as receptionist and handles routine clerical, scheduling, and desk activities.
• Assists with Billing duties and computes Operating Room charges.
• Maintains prices on patient charges and implant log.
• Monitors charging accuracy for specialty surgeries.
• Works with Finance, Purchasing, Inventory, and Nursing leadership to ensure compliance.

Education
