Qualifications

• 1-year Operating Room scheduling experience or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years clerical experience.
• Typing skills with strong knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedules cases seeking necessary information and effectively schedules cases by standard procedure.
• Acts as a receptionist for the unit and handles clerical, scheduling and desk activities.
• Assists with Billing duties as a relief as necessary.
• Computes and records Operating Room charges for each patient.
• Maintains current prices on items pertaining to patient charges.
• Maintains and updates Implant log to ensure data integrity.
• Monitors and audits The Specialty Surgeries cases for charging and time accuracy.
• Works with Finance and Purchasing to ensure accurate charging practices.
