Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital seeks a Perioperative Support Services Technician to coordinate daily operating room activities and communicate with physicians, offices, and staff. You will schedule cases, enter post-op data, and assist with billing as needed.

Working under the Business Manager, you will support the surgical services team, maintain data integrity in implant logs, and ensure timely information flow while upholding professional standards and patient-centered

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-year Operating Room scheduling experience or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years clerical experience.
• Typing skills with strong knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules cases seeking necessary information and effectively schedules cases.
• Acts as a receptionist for the unit and handles routine clerical, scheduling, and desk activities.
• Assists with Billing duties as relief as necessary.
• Computes and records Operating Room charges for each patient.
• Maintains implant log to ensure data integrity.
• Monitors and audits Specialty Surgeries cases for charging and time accuracy.
