Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the busy Perioperative Surgical team. The role provides hands-on exposure to robotic technology (Davinci Xi, dv5, Mako) and collaboration with experienced surgeons at the main campus in Albany, NY, with occasional work at the South Clinical Campus.

Qualifications

• Licensed and actively registered as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program or NP with RNFA training.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons during robotic and various surgical procedures in multiple specialties.
• Perform first-assist and second-assist duties in the operating room.
• Collaborate with perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Document encounters and operative notes accurately per standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
