Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy Perioperative Surgical team, working with robotic technology such as Davinchi Xi, dv5, and the Mako inOrthopedics robotics. The candidate will assist a wide range of specialties while gaining hands-on exposure to advanced robotics.

The role offers schedule flexibility with four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday daytime hours, and potential extra weekend work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant degree program.
• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and RNFA training.
• Licensed and actively registered as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• Able to quickly master all aspects of a computerized medical recordkeeping and billing system.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
• HIPAA compliant at all times.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons during robotic and traditional procedures across multiple specialties.
• Perform first- and second-assist duties in the operating room.
• Collaborate with perioperative teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Maintain proficiency in evolving surgical techniques and perioperative practices.
