Capital Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time 12-hour shift role in New Jersey. The position emphasizes delivering quality patient care through a collaborative nursing process, ensuring safety, and supporting pain management and discharge planning.

Requires an ASN/BSN and NJ RN licensure, with many required certifications to be obtained within orientation timelines. The role includes a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: None. Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider; Registered Nurse - NJ.
• TNCC (or obtain within 1 year) with trauma CNE hours if assigned to ICU/CCU etc.
• NIH Stroke Scale cert (or obtain) and 8 hours of Stroke CNE if assigned to Neuro/CCU.
• ACLS (or obtain within 6 months) if assigned to Critical Care or ER roles.
• NRP (or obtain within 6 months) if maternity services.
• PALS (or obtain within 6 months) if pediatric assignments.
• Usual Work Day: 12 Hours.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through a team effort in nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Assures patient safety by executing policies and procedures.
• Supports pain management using pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures.
• Provides discharge planning to maximize patient activity post-therapy.
• Communicates patient condition and care plan to patient and family.
• Plans and documents discharge instructions for medications.
