Qualifications

• Provides perioperative patient care in the intraoperative phase.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and a safe environment for patient and staff.
• Collects and analyzes data to develop nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians and families.
• Keeps up-to-date knowledge of equipment setup and function.
• Initiates and directs room turnover.
