Job summary

Trinity Health seeks a perioperative registered nurse to provide intraoperative care in scrub and circulating roles for diverse patient ages. The role requires on-call, weekends, nights and holidays, with a day shift and full-time schedule.

This position emphasizes patient safety, collaboration with the OR team, and adherence to aseptic standards. You will support anesthesia, surgeons, and staff, maintain equipment readiness, and contribute to documentation and patient care continuity throughout

Qualifications

• Current or compact RN license as a Registered Nurse per Iowa requirements.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 weeks of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases efficiently, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, and O.R. team.
• Maintains aseptic technique to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collects and analyzes data to support nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and families.
• Manages equipment setup and function; directs room turnover and cleanup.
